Happy Friday everyone. I had a rude start to my day but got to leave work early & spend a little time with my dad so I guess it is all good. This morning halfway through mo commute I got a warning on my DIC.
!Service TPMS

I check the tire pressure & on the driver's side front tire there was no number just _ _. So I pull over & check & the tire seems fine. Called hubby & he wanted me to wait for him to come & check it. He did & pressure was fine. I called the place where I got my new wheels/tires & tild them what was going on & that I was going to bring it there. When I got there they said to take it to the dealer. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr they could have told me that on hte phone. I talked to them X2. Hubby followed me to work. I got on C5 when I had a chance & was advised to try to reset the TPMS myself first before going to the dealer.

My last 2 clients cancelled so & left early. Mike had been spending the day with my dad so I met them at our house. I got to show him my garage & new wheels then rode with Mike & him to take him back to the assisted living facility. It was 101 degrees on my car temp when I got in. As soon as I was moving it droppped to 97 (closer to accurate). Dang! It is just May! 6:30 now & beautiful out but way to hot & too many mosquitos to be out.

Hurray for a long weekend! Have a great holiday weekend everyone! & don't forget to remember. :flag2::flag1:

I hope Ruby gets her TPMS problem fixed quickly. I also hope everyone has a safe and fun long weekend. We are going to be hanging out close to home and do some gardening and maybe a little swimming if the pool is warm enough.

Finished washing and detailing Ladybug for tomorrow's show. At least this time, I wasn't trying to finish up in the dark! I'll post pics tomorrow after the show

OH! Almost forgot to tell you! I ordered Ladybug's vanity plates today! Woohoo! I did decide to go with the red WSU plates, and they should (I had to list 3 options, in case the state decides my first one is no good) say "L4DYBUG" Yippee!!

Glad Ruby got her tire pressure problem fixed, I'll have to remember that solution. I like her style - remembering why we have Memorial Day.

A few days ago one of my tires picked up a "self taping screw". I started to take the screw out and heard air escaping so I screwd it back in took the wheel off and went to Big-O Tires. The manager assured me that there would be no scratches on my wheels and that they have their techs attend school to mount, balance and fix high performance tires like these run flat we have on our Camaro's. The tech put a plug in the tire AND an inside patch to double insure no leak. I got my wallet out and he said "Welcome to Big-O Tires - the first fix is on the house!" WOOOOOOOOOOW. Of course I tipped the manager and the tech then I checked my shorts when I got home.......he he. All is OK. It's been a long time since I've been treated like that but next time I have a wheel or tire issue guess where I'm going!!!

That's what good business is all about; they know you'll remember the service you received when you're spending far more serious $$ .

I used the service of a local Big-O Tire store and they did the same thing for me with the "free fix." And when it came time to replace my tires, where do you think I took my car? That Big O store, of course!

Hope everyone has an enjoyable day!

Good Saturday morning gang. It is going to be another record setting hot day here in middle Tennessee. Hubby & I will try to do the re-set on the PTMS today. It is a bit complicated & like a speed test, you have to run around taking air out of each tire in a particular order until the car chirps the horn on each tire & you only have 5 min to get it done or you have to start over. Reading on C5 it seems some folks had to do it several times others could not get it to work at all. We did not want to try yesterday in the heat so will try to get out there early today. I'll let you know how it goes. We will work on finishing up some mods to Mike's car today too. I'll post up some pics for him since that ol' Fart is too lazy to post things himself. Then grill up some chicken. Today will be a test to see it the garage is bearable with just fans or it we need to invest in a portable AC. Have a nice Saturday folks!

Let me know before ya buy. I have a couple window units cluttering up my garage that ya can try out to see how effective it'd be for ya.
