Oh yeah, they turbo'd the v8 too. 1,000rwhp and 9 second quarters. Lol it rapes the turbo'd v6. Lmao!

Actually when you turbo a 4 banger, it will make NA v6 power, when u turbo a v6 it will make NA v8 power, which puts them on a similar playing ground.
What wouldn't be fair is a trbo6 and a NA6. THAT'S NOT FAIR.

Golly, these types of comments make me ashamed to be an american cuz you all assume one thing cuz it seems and feels right to say when you are completely wrong. Its ridiculous not to understand how the economics of your own country works. Green man is mostly right while you are mostly wrong.

First off, there is nearly no such thing as a true american car or true japanese car anymore. The automobile industry has been classified a world market for 35 years and in the last 20 years it has mastered that title. In the last decade it has become the mainstay of the industry and now, there verry verry few true american cars. Let me explain.
The chassis design of the camaro was done in australia. The body design was from a chinese engineer in china, the car was built in canada and is being sold here and in certain parts of the world. The main profits must be split between china australia and canada while residuals come back to GMNA. GM is a world corporation and needs to fund its foreign offices by makingf such deals, thus fueling the economic success of foreign citizens working in foreign factories.
The flipside. The hyundai genesis coupe. Was designed and engineered right here in the valley in california. Tested in america and korea, built in korea fothe first 2 years. (The gencoupe may be built here in the US for 2012 along with the sonata, elantra, santa fe and azera) The u.s. being the proprietors of the main design get the second highest profit margin due the level of american engineers that basically made the overall design. The british see a small profit as well, because ,Lotus co-engineered its chassis along with the american engineers. Lotus played more of the consultant role, as well as japanese corporation mitsubishi for allowing a design copy of the 2.0 engine. As you can see between both cars. Profits must be split around the world but overall. As a corporation. There are more hyundais built in america than there are chevys. Most chevy's are built in canada or mexico while a few suvls and the corvette are built here.

So buying american began to die 35 years ago and by 15 years ago. That was completely dead. The chevy cavalier was built on a toyota derived platform and its engine was a toyota copy as is the aveo and its engine. Toyota gave GM the technology and engineering to build compact cars in the 80's and 90's. And that relationship stays strong today. Even the cobalt has some japanese derived parts. The roots of the american 4 banger in general are toyota and suzuki. The whole geo fiasco. Re-badged suzukis. Chevy compact suv's. Re-badged suzuki's.

You boys have so much to learn about a "World Market" and how it operates. When our govt bailed out GM america. It also bailed out HOLDEN, OPEL DAEWOO, and hundreds of foreign subsidaries globally. The majority of GM stock right now is invested in chinese hybrid technology. Its considered to be the new future in hybrid tech. Supposedly the chinese are catching up to hyundai and by 2020, we might see a chinese car brand sold in the US. Here under the aid of GM. Like I said. The auto industry is a world market. GM MAKES MORE MONEY AND GIVES MORE MONEY ABROAD DUE TO HAVING 10X MORE FOREIGN FACTORIES THAN DOMESTIC ONES. SOMEONE GET THE GM PLANT AND OFFICE LIST.
Oh yeah daewoo of korea is also part of GM. So when you see daewoo in other parts of the world, they are supporting GM and the korean domestic market courtesy of GM.
Lastly, the toyota camry, we see as much profit here as japan does. Its a higher split than camaro profits due to camry engineering being a complete split soley between japan and america with no middle men other than us 2 nations and corporations. Toyota not only feeds families, we makes billions in revenue from a co engineering standpoint. Also we manage the camry. Its pretty much an american car with a japanese name. Of all the jpanese companies. Toyota has been the most generous with us profit wise.
Anyway, in general, nissan, hyundai, honda and toyota make way more cars in this country than GM does and if they weren't here. We'd be missing millions of jobs.

LIKE I SAID, THERE ISHARDLY AN AMERICAN MARKET. ITS 98% A WORLD MARKET.
The corvette is one of a small handful of cars, completely built in america. Though italian designers helped design the +05 vettes. It was a contract and not a corporate partnership so profits stayed here. Unlike the camaro which was a world corporate effort.

Agreed. There really are no 100% American architecture used in cars much anymore these days. They're all global platforms. Even the LLT in the V6 was co-developed by Australia, Germany, the United States and Sweden.
