I wonder what the fix is? Shielding? New Wires?
I would just zip tie the wires way from the heat if possible for the time being.

Twilight Zone
I feel like we are in the Twilight Zone or You Just Got Punked.
I know I don;t have my car yet but my heart goes out to everyone who have received it or are still in QC. Hang in there brothers and sisters.

Yep mine has been recalled. John Fitzpatrick said it only takes like 30 minutes for the fix and that I should be driving it later today as long as the body shop is done with it.

If you're going to buy a first year model of any vehicle, you should be prepared to deal with issues like this. It's the price you pay for being the first one on the block to have one.

RELAX!! Its a simple fix. What other car comes with the battery in the trunk? Its a small thing that was overlooked from the factory. If you bitch about this uncontrollably, theres no hope for you...call your mommy!

It's good they've come up with the recall. Perhaps towing is a little excessive, however, I can see that they don't want the car to burn to the ground on your way to the dealer (yes - I'm exaggerating). Either way, at least it's getting taken care of. Maybe, it can be looked at as a good reason to get the oil changed earlier to get the break-in gunk out of the engine
![]() Please keep comments and "THE SKY IS FALLING" comments out of this thread. There are clearly answers in the original post, so there is no need for negative or suggestive comments. GM is taking care of it.

Has a fix been made to the production line to eliminate this problem on current and future builds?
