I hope I just get used to it, and eventually not notice it. As long as everyone says that what Im experienceing is normal.

Hi as I said I just recently picked it up from the dealer. I just checked the tire pressure and it was 31 on both front tires. And 32 for both rear tires. I believe there supposed to be 36. Could this be the reason it feels bumpy

36psi would increase the ride harshness. Leave it at 31/32
I might add, skepticism about the sincerity of your post is starting to emerge. |

It is highly unlikely that you will feel a difference because of a small difference in the tire pressure, especially since less pressure should make the ride softer. Bottom line: This is a sporty car. By design they will transfer more of the road feel to the driver. There's nothing wrong with your car in particular from the sounds of it, it's just the nature of the beast. If it bothers you too much then maybe this kind of car isn't suited for you.

Mine feels the same way until I drive it 7+ miles and the tires warm up.Took "Her" out for a 150+ mile run yesterday and "She" was as smooth as glass..BTW 20" and it was 19 degrees F here..Nature of the beast

I drive both a Ford Focus and a 2LT. Believe me, the camaro is way smoother. The Focus makes the Camaro feel like a Cadillac.

Then you're lucky you didn't buy an SS. The SS has a stiffer suspension than the V6.
The Camaro isn't the smoothest ride (considerably stiffer than my 05 and 06 GTO). But the Camaro is a reasonably heavy car, and it needs a pretty stiff suspension to give it decent handling characteristics. One of my good friends bought a new C6 Corvette. About 3 months later, he got rid of it because he couldn't stand the harsh ride. Now he drives a 4 door Lexus (gave up peformance for comfort). Performance suspensions combined with tall wheels and low profile tires can make for a pretty bumpy ride (if the roads aren't very smooth). |

Make sure the cold tire pressure is at 36 psi for RS wheels. That is BEFORE you start driving it measure the PSi and fill.
I'm on my LT rims now but I remember when my RS wheels fell to 31 PSi the ride got much more rough. |

I owned a Focus for a while. I think it could be confused that they ride hard (mine was a ZX3)--but really, it's just unrefined. They have a soft suspension, but because of their unrefined small-car nature, bumps are felt and heard all day long. But if you throw one into a corner, they pitch and roll, understeer, lose all composure. They're not performance-tuned.
The Camaro rides heavy like a vault, but the suspension is buttoned up. You can observe this going over a simple speedbump at about 5mph. You'll feel the bump and the car will follow the bump's contour. Not much spring at all. In a Focus you'll feel the car lift up, hit flat ground, and then spring back up. If you've ever ridden in a stock-spec 3rd gen IROC Camaro, anything else feels like a Grand Marquis... The 5th gen has a great feel to it. Enjoy the ride!!! |

I see a lot of good responses here and some doubt or trepidation expressed by the original poster about the answers. Is it possible that the question is not being interpreted by everyone the same way?
Perhaps the original poster could describe what a "Bumpy" ride feels like in other terms or more descriptive language. Compare that to something perhaps that would be considered a "normal" ride or a "non bumpy" ride, for some perspective. After that, then the answers could be more specific to the issue. |

It's a SPORTS CAR. That's how they're supposed to ride.
