I had a race lined up but instead of racing after my check up my car got deadlined at the dealership! Had to drive a rental home :( Probably for the better in the long run even though it still drives fine (Gear hum on deceleration) would have been embarrassing if I blew the rear end out racing him and have to deal with him rubbing my nose in it for a year (Upgrade after I know the car is broke in and can S-Can the warranty)

When I ran the 1/2 mile in Ocala one Hell Cat ran in the upper 140s and another one driven by Don Garlits ran 153. My ZL1, not stock, ran 160. For comparison, a new Z06 Vette ran 149.

Oh okay now i understand. That's sucks about your car, has the dealer gave you any idea as to where the problem originated from or what it is? This is my first time reading about this problem. I've read that these rear ends are pretty tough, couple members have 650-700+hp and drag race their cars a lot and no problems yet. Best of Luck!!

Wonder what stage aero it had, that would definitely play a roll.

Has anyone here actually raced a Hellcat?

What's the deal with these rear end issues? I have read of a few issues now and thought the rear end was basically bulletproof

It is. Some break in funky and some do fine. Thank God they have a fix for the ones that crap the bed early.

It's really impressive how Dodge has blown every other auto maker out of the water with the Hellcat. The attention and buzz has set new records. Even oil companies are riding the train.

Imagine if Chevy made any cool commercials for the ZL1.

They are bullet but some including mine have a gear lash issue, and once you hear it the damage is already done to the gears. My dealer said they would replace the Ring and Pinion but I don’t trust they have the ability to get that lash back better than it was. Some on here have had dealers try and ultimately they have just replaced the rear end. I have yet convinced my Dealer to replace the PIG.. I am going to go to talk it over with Rodgers next week to see what they say as they have an outstanding reputation of taking care of the customer...

I can not wait to race one!

I hope I get a cocky driver too who has heard all the hype and thinks his Kitty is the first car ever to have 650hp to the wheels...

I will 100% have videos and time slips.

I raced a 2014 GT500 and it was a highlight of last season.

The more power these cars have, the more important a good driver is...

The ZL1 has an advantage with average/regular drivers in both because the learning curve is easier with less power and 3 inches more tire out back...

I expect to see some very fast kitties and some very poorly driven ones.

I prefer to root for the underdog anyway.

Any links you can post on this? I'm interested in learning more about this
