There are many, many, MANY good cleaning/waxing supplies. Everyone has their personal loyalties. You can always do a little internet research and come to your own conclusions. But anything recommended here should be good.

One word. Walmart. Yes that's right Walmart.
I've used Zaino products before and I don't know if I keep getting a hold of bad batches or what but every product of theirs I've used has been crap. I actually get better results from brands you can buy at Walmart then I've ever gotten from Zaino. There is one car detailing shop down the road. They get a TON of business and do anything from old beaters to Porsche's and Ferrari's and they do excellent work. I stopped by a couple months ago to see what brands of cleaning supplies they use and whether they use microfiber or cloth towels. You know what? They buy all of their cleaning materials from the local dollar store and use nothing but 100% cloth towels. The owner even showed me the bottles one guy was using on a brand new Vette. |

Yeah, people get attached to "brand names" for some odd reason. Cleaning supplies are cleaning supplies. Just get an Armor-All car detailing kit and have at it.

Sorry for the slight off-topicness, but does anyone have anything they can recommend for the leather seats, specifically black ones to keep them from being harmed by the sun and such? |

Newer car or older? If newer get VINYL cleaner and protectants not leather. All new leather seats have vinyl coating so leather cleaners and protectants won't work on them.

Armor-all is petroleum based,if you go to a tire store and have them show you the inside of a tire where it meets the wheel on one that used armor all.you will see that it is breaking down the rubber.NEVER use petroluem based products. |
