I just installed a set wow they look and sound great. However, the passenger side header is sooooooo close to the starter. An I don't know if it's my borla exhaust or the cats they supplied but, I will have to make some adjustments because I'm getting a horrible vibration under my seat. I think it's rubbing against the tranny support. I'll wiggle that around and hopefully that takes care of any more rattling/rubbing, but the headers do look great and fit very nice besides being damn close to the starter.

Me an my buddie used a lift and knocked it out in 2hrs, would have been quicker but that damn dip stick tube make us look like dip sticks, haha.

Love the sound!! Time for a quality tune!

Installed mine last week and they are touching the knuckle on the steering shaft on the driver side. On the passenger side they are rattling against the frame. I plan on putting demples in them this week. If that still doesn't work will TSP help me out and send me new ones? They sound so mean paired with Flowmaster Outlaw catback!!

Update, my borla was rattling, I did have a cat come loose, so I tightened that with an impact an installed my new SOLO cat back, and I must say, it's probably the best sounding camaro I've ever heard!

Excellent quaility on the Texas Speed headers and SOLO exhaust!

Read a couple of my recent posts on clearance issues with headers.

You could install a set today, and have inches of space from the steering knuckle, and 3 months later, after countless power shifts, etc, you look again, and it's touching!

Generally speaking (other than the extreme cases and exceptions to the rule), it's not a header issue at all. The engine mounts are simply too soft for certain applications, especially on hard driven cars with tight fitting headers.

Has anyone actually tried to move the engine over? I am tempted to try this. I installed TSP 2in on Saturday and they are barely touching the steering shaft knuckle. I don't really notice until I make a right turn, then I can def feel it.

I called Texas Speed and they advised me to dimple the headers. I agreed that would most likely fix the issue. I then asked if I dimple them and they still didn't fit if I would be able to return them. I was told no because the car has been driven. That doesn't make a lot of sense to me and would think they valued their customers more than that. I would think they would back their product better than that.

If you have good engine mounts and adjust them ,and the headers need to dimpled they are not made right . In that case It is the headers being out of spec , no matter the brand. NO 2 ways about it .

I didnt have to do anything near steering shaft but did have to dimple due to hitting frame on passenger side. Put pics of my issues in this thread:

For the past 2 days I have read numerous post about it happening with other brands besides tsp! I kept reading you get what you pay for garbage. Has nothing to do with tsp! Has to do with how the engine was placed in the car.
