i agree..the kahr cm40 trigger is better than the p290..but after putting 350-400 rounds threw the sig i have learned how to shoot it..started off shooting way low..i have only put 50 rounds threw the kahr..still breaking it in..

Added bonus, both the Kahr PM9 (or CM9, too) and the Sig P290 will fit conveniently in the Camaro's center console

I have three gen four glocks and love them. The issues that were reported have been corrected.

My only suggestion would be maybe look at a firearm with a safety, such as the Ruger Sr9 or Sr40. The reason for this suggestion is, if you are new to firearm ownership your habits are not ingrained yet. With a Glock the only safety is really your finger.

As with any firearm your finger is the only true safety but when you are first starting out a little extra help may be nice until you develop the "finger discipline".

Also, as stated, shoot some different firearms so you get the feel of them. I love the Glocks but cannot stand how the M&P's fit my hand, same with the Xd's.

Cheers and have fun.

I just don't like the loooooong pull of the trigger. The reset is almost all the way back out as well....bout, 90% out. That's my only complaint. While the pull itself is SMOOOOOTH, it takes forever for it to finally go off.

Love my Kahr 40 and Dana's 9mm. Shot two aces with them last week during qualifications.

Did they fix the slide rail pin? Those were falling out on all the new Gen IV's. We wanted them corrected. Glock wouldn't do it. We went to SW MP.

And if you don't get one w/ a safety, you MUST get a holster that covers that trigger. Carrying it in your bag or something where anything could hit that trigger....w/out a safety of some sort put in place....could obviously be very very bad. Otherwise, I don't like any safety at all. If the gun it out, it is mean to be shot. Finger off the trigger and out of the trigger guard until ready to shoot! Again, the only reason I'd like a safety is if it's being carried and there's no trigger guard. Otherwise, no safety for me. Personal preference.

Slide rail pin? I havent had enough coffee yet this morning. Where is the pin you are referring to? You are talking about the slide release cross bar?
Cheers

The price @ Cabelas is well HOLY CRAP!!!

Picked up 1000 round case of Privi 7.62 x 51 for $507 from a contact at my old shooting club in MI. Also got 5250 round case of CCI Blazer 22LR standard velocity for $180.

I'm glad I do my own loading most of the time, the ammo prices have gotten out of hand!

I paid 21 bucks a box. I didn't think that was terrible for winchester ammo.
