I'm not sure if it's been said on here with all the bench racing and speculation in this thread.

But Ford SVT or whatever they call themselves these days works with Evolution. They were encouraged to push the car until it blew.

The Mustang is the better car right now. The Challenger the worst. It is what it is. The Camaro has the best powertrain.

Looks are subjective. Performance is not.

The 13 GT500 is completely different from the previous models.

Higher grade gas is a pretty cheap mod. Obviously you run what you need as far as fuel and tuning. Those aren't what make the build expensive.

I"m talking about a forged RA. Crank and rods and piston heads. The Mustang engine will handle more boost stock.

At least that's what I'm asking.

All I want for Christmas is for some one to buy me both of these cars so I can run them and compare for you. Also if you could get me a gaggle of (female) supermodels that would be great too.

Fair enough but you can have it tuned both ways.

Threads like this are really a little embarrassing. If you can't accept the gt500 is the better straight line car you are delusional. Stock and with bolt ons it is simply much faster. Once you go beyond those points it becomes a money game just like it always does when comparing any cars. The gt500 will be able to make more power without cam/head work than the LSA, but those mods are much cheaper on the LSA anyway. If I recall, the 5.8 that blew was making north of 850rwhp and was on 93 octane with the stock supercharger.

Mm north of 850 to go a tenth slower?
Llivernois along with a few others now have made 750 through a auto and converter and the cars are thriving. . The mustang is lighter and has a bigger blower..and self destructs when pushed hard.

The argument is the zl will and does hang and even surpasses the gt500.. the pill is just to hard for the gt500 crowd who from what I read dont even usually have one but are just nut swings who read to much.

By the way, there are a handful of cars making 700 ish without a head change.. which again, another reason I stay away from those junk ass mod motors.. I know porting the heads sounds like a world changing thing to mod motor guys, but its not Gms fault for making a simply easier package to work woth.

I don't think they made any passes at that power level, they changed the setup for more power after their 9s run. That car was running bolt ons with a stock clutch and transmission on stock suspension vs the zl1 which had head work and a cam as well as a stall. Totally different ball game. The mods on the zl1 probably cost 4 times as much as the mods on the gt500. Anyway:

Nearly 750rwhp with just simple bolt ons and 800+rwhp and 900+rwtq on nitrous. With a 3.73 or 4.10 gear that car will probably run 9.4-9.5s. The gt500 is just the faster straight line car $ for $.
