actually there were a few deaths related to this recall. which is why they started it. BUT apparently the parts are delayed due to them coming from China.

I'm 5'11", and my seat placement puts my knee directly under the ignition. I'm not close to the steering wheel at all. Without the key chain, my knee isn't remotely close to the FOB. That's why I think the culprit is what people have attached to the FOB, not the FOB itself.

I don't think they are going to change the ignition switches, just the keys, they will still be coded to your existing switch.

My dealer rep informed me today that they had a second briefing on this and it may also involve the switch tumblers. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it all plays out.
