on a side note, my scoutmaster growing up was a retired navy seal of 12 years with 8 years as a marine before that.

for our wilderness survival badge, he took us out into the woods in the back of his truck with the camper shell windows blocked, dropped us off in the middle of nowhere, gave us each 50 ft of 550 cord, a bowie knife, and 3 matches and told us he'd see us in 4 days.
