Had a 06 TJ with the 4.0l six speed manual combo. It was awesome except no back seat whatsoever. Sold it and got a 09 4 door JK with the 3.6l manual. It was nice space wise but severely lacked any performance. Traded the JK in on the vert SS. I still look for a TJ with the 4.0l that hasn't been trashed to have as an off road project.

The H3 had a short enough wheelbase to be useful in mild crawling situations, the chassis narrow enough for tight trails, good front/rear approach and descent angles. It was available with a G80 locking rear and traditional 4wd. Those things can climb like mountain goats, only 2nd to a vehicle that also has a locking front diff. The weak part was the Isuzu transfer case--the case itself was fine, but the electronics were a nightmare. I can still hear it engage (whir, whir, whir, click-CLANK!!!!), sometimes 2-3 times after pressing the button to get into 4-low. The inline 5 in most of those was a pretty stout engine, 242hp, great torque. The 5.3 was nice, but drank too much, and the trans (4L60E) was pretty weak to be behind that much motor.

The H2 was an absolute PIG. Tahoe/Burb parts aplenty including inadequate cooling, a wheelbase too long, a track too wide, too heavy, too much onboard shit, wimpy stock tires, and a host of idiots that thought they were "offroad ready" and then got them stuck in mud.
One of my auto instructors at my school used to work at a GMC/Chevy/Hummer truck dealer. I have no way to prove this, but he told us that the only TRUE Hummer was the H1. The H2 was basically a silverado with different skin. And the H3 was basically an S-10. Considering the S-10 Blazers (at least the kind i have) were pretty decent off-roaders, I would assume the H3 would be better. My truck might not look like much, but its gotten through its fair share of mud!! (Sorry, this entire post is slightly off topic... my bad!)

I had purchased a new 2010 Jeep Unlimited Islander because I had never had a Jeep and thought I might like one. I was also spurred on by my wife to get one, since all of us (2 sons) could ride in it. I have a Tahoe also which she usually drives. I went ahead and purchased it just to see if I liked it and didn't care for it at all. Way too underpowered. I have always been a car guy and wanted a C6, but with 2 small children, couldn't justify it. I have also had many Camaros and loved the new styling. I made the decision to jump to a Camaro and haven't looked back. Granted, I have had it for 7 months and it has less than 200 miles on it, I don't see my kids riding in it much, if any!

I have a 2010 Camaro and my wife has a 2010 Wrangler Unlimited. Best of both worlds!

Well, I'm sick of using my 2011 2SS/RS camaro as a daily driver to go to work & back! the roads here sucks...

I'm thinking of getting a second Jeep Wrangler for my daily use..

Thank God my camaro is without a single scrach so far

I had a 2008 Jeep Wrangler for 3 years. It was awesome taking the doors off with the top down on a clear day.

One day a guy ran a stop sign and totaled it. While I had the rent car someone pulled up next to me in a brand new 2002 blue SS convertible. I was at the chevy dealer within the hour. I ended up buying one and that was it, I was hooked on the convertible v-8 sound and power!

The difference for me is this - I really liked the jeep wrangler, but I love the camaro. Hopefully, if all goes well, in a couple of months I'll be ordering a 2013 SS.

Traded a '09 VW Jetta TDI for my '11 SS w/RS trim. Needed a cosmetic fix when I bought the SS (disappointed in the stock L99 power though - way to much $ to make it go fast as should have been from the factory, IMO).

And, I own a '97 TJ (retired to offroad use only - lifted, winch, Atlas, full cage, bead locks, Swampers).

-- Ya just can't beat those mopars! Going to buy right the next time - next stop, sell/trade the SS for 392 auto.... and only cry once and still keep the warranty!
