Can you guys recommend a good and safe wheel cleaner? I am using meguiar's all wheel and tire cleaner. It works amazing but I think its staining my chrome lips. Today, after wash, I had some water marks like where it was washed out from the wheels? I'll see if the marks are still there tom and take pics.. Its weird thou... It looked like when u have grease and the water wouldn't mix with it.

I've used Eagle1 AtoZ Wheel cleaner for years on chrome and high polished aluminum without any issue.

This is what I use and haven't had any problems with it.

I've never worked with chrome but if I remember correctly I don't believe your can polish it like normal paint, I could be wrong.

Did a little research and reading for you, first off is that chrome lip actual chrome of just plastic with a chrome finish?

Try claying the chrome first and see where that gets you. From what I have read, some wheel cleaners can be very acidic and harsh on chrome, which maybe what happened here. (I'd look into a non-acidic wheel cleaner.)

If claying doesn't work, and this is actual chrome, then you can polish it, but not like you polish paint. You need a metal polish such as this: http://www.autogeek.net/3m-chrome-polish.html

I hope i'm wrong..but that looks like you used a "hot" product on them and "burned" them. A product like Purple power is terrible to use on any vehicle part. Not saying that's what you used but that's what it does. Its way too aggressive. If that's what happend you cant reverse or clean it :( Again I'm not saying that's what it is but looks close to it. Can you rub the stain off with your finger? If so that's a good thing

Thanks bro.. I guess I'll look into that wheel cleaner.. Today I washed the wheels with dish soap and water, they came out clean so maybe I'll stick to that.. Then used M105 and the marks went away. Stop using it to try Meguiars fine cut cleaner which I am guessing is M2 cuz its got a big 2 in the front. And the wheels came out clean... Look at these pics

They are shinny with no marks right now so I'll try to keep them like that..

Finger didn't work but check the previous post. Meguiar's polish/cleaner worked
