...as long as it's a manual.

No. Just like a SS1LE. You have to earn allocations. If you have 30 allocations for a Camaro you cannot simply check 1LE option. Only a certain number is allowed. There are many variables. My rep said under 800 ZL1 1LE will likely be produced.

Congrats, I ordered mine today, too!!

A few of things to keep in mind for anybody reading/interested...

-- 2018 "pre ordering" has opened up today. All options, and packages are "revealed" in the ordering system. But pricing has not yet been released.

-- Just because an order was placed does NOT mean that it is "guaranteed". However, most competent dealers will have a good guess as to that likelihood...especially if we're talking about the very first early 2018 ZL1 orders. An order number is generated at this stage.

-- Production does not begin until June. In the coming weeks, we will know if our orders are "picked up"...which means that GM has reviewed and accepts the order for production.

-- The ZL1 1LE Extreme Track Performance Package will likely not exceed 1000 units per year (my guess). So don't expect many cars to be built real early, because the line must be shared with Cadillacs and the rest of the Camaro lineup. And don't expect any cars to be delivered until late June at the very earliest (everything went perfectly, including QC and shipping).

-- Allocations still applies, as always. But without the mad rush of 2017 ZL1s...it will probably be less of a big deal.

Congrats to all who've ordered! Brace for the wait!!

I was watching a review from the lead engineer & he emphasized that the ZL1 1LE is not a Dailey driver. I was not aware that the shocks are not magnetic dampers. They are a Second generation of the Z28 Shocks.

The suspension will "rattle your fillings out", as one person put it...but in some strange way, it's not harsh, and as soon as you start playing with it - hot damn, you quickly forget about the stiffness.

No, for 1LE, you just have to have allocation for Camaro and V8(until here recently when V8 restrictions were relieved). The 1LE option was only limited early in the year when it was new.

It will most likely be the same for ZL1 1LE as it's just an option on the ZL1 instead of its own model.

No that is not accurate. We tried to get as many as we could. Out of 11 request three were picked up. Open allocations were not an issue.
