See honey I'm not wierd.

My wife and family make fun of me that I HAVE to keep the Camaro clean.

Wipe Down lower body and rims after driving it (break dust removal)
Wipe down after driving in the rain
Rinse and wipe down after driving on dirt road.

I met 2 other Camaro owners said they did the same thing

SEE HONEY I'M NOT WIERD.

I pretty much give mine a dust down with the california duster every time i drive it, if i run through any water on the road i have a towel to give it a touch up and if it rains it gets washed immediately after. I also wash the entire insides of the rims every time and when those start to show grit i will wash the entire car lol.I basically quit driving it daily because i dont have time to wash it lol. i drive a crappy truck and let it get dirty. you are not alone my friend.

I'm not really fanatical about it since it's my daily driver... but my neighbors think I am.

I do that every time that I drive it. Some people look at me weird, yet most women in my building actually smile. I hope that they are thinking .. "If he takes care of his car like that, I wonder how well he takes care of a woman" and not "Funny, guy spending all that time on his car..."

I do the same thing EXCEPT for driving on dirt roads.

I also forgot, to our wives/girlfriends, our Camaro's are "just cars" and can be eaten in, fries dumped in, etc.

The money you spend on car washes, you could rent a storage locker big enough for your Camaro. This will keep her clean and off the dirt/gravel road.

No, you are weird. But I would rather buy a used Camaro off someone like you than anyone else on here.

anyone else notice that they WILL NOT stay clean. my car is static charged or something. i had a black Z71 that didnt get dirty this easy. the lower rear quarters suck up dirt like the back of a tahoe or something on a powder dust road. ive never seen a car that got itself dirty before owning this one.
so its not really that we are obsessing. the dang thing is just a constant chore to keep looking respectable.

I use the duster on mine, and then whipe it down with Meguiar's final inspection after every drive. I also keep a fully stocked detail bag in the trunk for bugs, puddles, etc. You are not alone my friend! Permagrin=Permacleaning
