New PDIM is iPod Fail
My 2011 SS just received a replacement PDIM from the dealer (old PDIM dropped connection whenever I hit a bump or closed the armrest). With the updated hardware and software, no iPod devices are recognized by the radio through the usb port. I receive a message that basically says No Supported Data, Safe to Remove Device. I have tried an iPod NANO 7gen, which worked flawlessly with the old PDIM, 3 different iPod Classics, 2 different iPod Touchs and 1 iPhone 4s ("airplane mode" on and off). I have Technical Bulletin 09-08-44-013A and D, both showing very outdated compatibility charts (so old that not one of the devices can be purchased today), and have followed all suggestions with no success. The dealer has "tested" the usb connection and says it is performing normally. Does anyone else have these same problems and have you been able to overcome? I do understand that I could use Bluetooth, but that is not an optimal solution for many reasons. I would certainly prefer that the usb port worked as it should.

I have used an older Classic & a new one in my 2010 and they work great. All iPod software is also current. Tell them to hook up your Classic to a Camaro on the lot so they can see that the iPod itself is not the issue.

Looks like DB/DD is the latest. You might need to have the software updated.
