Talking hoods

I wanted to ask them many times why the gap but I don't want to call them out and make them feel bad. I assume when you say the MPD1 hood fits perfect every time that you don't get many complaints on fitting?

I am very interested.

Thanks
yea thats fiberglass and i really dont want those problems...i have a SS impala with fiberglass hood and i do have fitment issue like you have seen...i like the hood so much i just put up with it so to speak.....I like the hoods from MPD1....would like to see Z-force Hood hood with two vents on each side like the RK sports hood.. They have two hoods under construction cant wait to see those....

I think the Nickey Stinger 2 hood (the one with no point) is thee ABSOLUTELY BEST LOOKING hood there is for the 5th Gen!!! It has the hood scoop, but its not to much.....just enough! I found one on sale for $1050 but shipping is $500 . My "big money" mod is going to be a new hood. I like the look of a hood scoop (plus bringing in cooler outside is good), but I don't like BIG over-the-top scoops. Just my opinion .

Are there hoods steel?

Looks like from the pics they take a stock hood and tweak it.

Am I correct in my thinking?

Personally I prefer the RK Sport Ram Air hood.

I can understand why you would like to see that. The intake on that hood looks weak to me. We built our heat extracter into the back of the hood however so they can pass a lot more hot air out plus have excellent water control.

NO.

While we modeled off of a OE hood, the MPD1 hoods are all new fiberglass top and bottom. Our latch, hinge and strut bracket plates, and the mesh in the openings are all epoxy primed steel.

I researched hoods for over a year and decided the MPD-1 Z-force was exactly what I wanted, especially after hearing about all the positive reviews from owners and installers.

Have had one on order for a while and getting VERY excited to get it here, installed and painted!!! Will post pics ASAP after its installed.

Also got the prepainted rear spoiler from Eric, its already here and installed, amazing quality and paint match dead on to my RJT finish.

Erics hood looks good but I hate the 2 openings. Just cover the 1 on the frontend. IMHO

Not a fan of the double scoop. If it were me I would fill in the mailslot and have one scoop.
