Hmm when I pulled up that so called article, there were 4 Ford Mustang Ads on the right side of the page.. Coincidence????
Click on the V8 and V6 drag videos and I got a Hyundai Commercial.... Another Coincidence? By the way, Who dosen't love Cartoons?

What sells. Well they said in an editorial a couple months ago that their biggest selling issue last year had the Camaro on the cover.

Hello!
|
Yes this is a Camaro forum, yes there will be some "off the wall" comments and sure, we'll defend our Camaro to our last breath...but...
...the Challenger SE was ranked HIGHER than the SS by one reviewer (Kiino) WTF was he smoking? ...the Mustang V6 was overall ranked higher than the Camaro SS? Guess Kiino passed the bag or something! I won't claim bias and all that other stuff...magazines sell cars about as good as TV commercials peddle crap IMO...while the performance numbers don't lie the defining moment of a car decision will come from what the person likes best I think... This came down to what they preferred it reads and looks like. I don't discredit any of the cars tested really (well, the Challenger SE I would as far as any performance goes...looks cool, but come on!). ...finally...didn't the Challenger SRT8 finish third (distant if I remember correctly) the last time MT did a comparison test of the three V8s (or was that the GT500, SS and SRT8)? Still...the Camaro came in second! I've drove all three...own 2 of them (the V8 variety)...and the Mustang GT is not one of them! Granted it was a 2010 and not the new engine...but even then, MT felt the Mustang won |

No MT did pick the Camaro in that test. Car and Driver picked the mustang last year and this month again.
mt has repeatedly said some dumb things about the V6 vs. SS . V6 Is "more fun to drive because of it's lighter weight". REALLY. 3800 pounds vs. 3860, with 120 less HP. nonsensical. |

One year is all it takes for Camaro to go from Bad Ass to Back of the Class
Not that I agree with these pin heads but this is what they had to say.
Check Dealer Pricing On a New Ford Mustang! Magnificent Seven: We Rank All the Pony Cars And We Drag Race Them, Too... May 03, 2010 / By Ed Loh / Photography by Brian Vance, Julia LaPalme Click to view GalleryOne week after Ford's launch of the 2011 Mustang GT and V-6 we served up the world's first comparison test of the new 5.0 and its two top rivals -- the Chevrolet Camaro SS and Dodge Challenger SRT-8. One week later, we posted with another world exclusive -- the first ever four-way comparison of the 2011 Mustang V-6 versus the Camaro RS, Challenger SE and Hyundai Genesis 3.8. Click to view GalleryIt was a massive undertaking which took more than a dozen people two work weeks (and several weekends) to accomplish all of the testing, driving, photo- and videography. For the sake of efficiency, we executed both comparison tests at the same time, which meant corralling all seven of these modern day pony cars for hundreds of miles and several days on the road. We also pitted the V-8s and the V-6s against each other in separate quarter mile drag races (Click on the videos on each page to see who took home the titles). After all was said and done, we thought it would be enlightening to have our seven main judges rank them all from first to last: Ron Kiino Edward Loh Frank Markus Nate Martinez 1 Mustang GT Mustang GT Mustang GT Mustang GT 2 Genesis 3.8 Challenger SRT8 Genesis 3.8 Genesis 3.8 3 Mustang V-6 Genesis 3.8 Challenger SRT8 Camaro SS 4 Challenger SRT8 Mustang V-6 Mustang V-6 Challenger SRT8 5 Camaro RS Camaro SS Camaro SS Musang V-6 6 Challenger SE Camaro RS Camaro RS Camaro RS 7 Camaro SS Challenger SE Challenger SE Challenger SE Scott Mortara Kim Reynolds Arthur St. Antoine Overall: 1 Mustang GT Mustang GT Mustang GT Mustang GT 2 Challenger SRT8 Genesis 3.8 Genesis 3.8 Genesis 3.8 3 Genesis 3.8 Mustang V-6 Mustang V-6 Challenger SRT8 4 Camaro SS Camaro SS Challenger SRT8 Mustang V-6 5 Mustang V6 Challenger SRT8 Camaro SS Camaro SS 6 Camaro RS Camaro RS Camaro RS Camaro RS 7 Challenger SE Challenger SE Challenger SE Challenger SE -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | 2 | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Read more: http://www.motortrend.com/features/p...#ixzz0mvCnWizL Read more: http://www.motortrend.com/features/p...#ixzz0mvCnocu8

Don't feel too bad... I have a KR, which was a couple of years ago, considered one of the most bad-arse Mustang variants ever offered from Ford. Now that the 2011 models are out, it's just another old, overweight POS... No matter though, I still have a blast driving it. There will always be something newer that's faster/lighter/prettier/more powerful/etc... The way it's always been.

They have to sell mustangs this year. That's all it's about. These games have been going on forever. If you likes your camaro yesterday why would you not like it today. Just because a bunch of jackasses say something differant this year.

Rankings mean nothing. Most people don't read or listen to them. Its nice for personal validation, but c'mon has anyone seriously come up to you and said your car sucks without them having a personal bias. This is really case with any of the 3 pony cars, they're all a huge step up from what we had only 5 years ago(2 of them didn't even exist). Where in a new muscle car renaissance and to be honest we all need to enjoy it, because unless things change in Washington, it won't last long

LMAO at alot of you guys going off on the magazine guys. You were all singing a different tune last year when the Camaro was piling up the awards from the magazines.
This guy said it best: Just buy what you want and enjoy the hell out of it. |
