I must be very naïve about building cars, because personally, when I saw those pictures I was like “What’s the big deal?” I don’t know what secrets are given away there; the shape of the car isn’t any big secret …?
Where is the poll option for "Don't care"

As others have stated above, "Whats the harm now? The pictures are "out there". It's my opinion that to show our respect for GM as well as Scott, the pictures be removed.

Maybe people wouldn't make questionable decisions which may untimately lead to a loss of their job if there weren't so many forums looking to post "unauthorized" information.

I say lets show a little restraint.

(I'm sure my thoughts aren't popular - sorry - thats how I feel)

These were my thoughts and feelings as I wrote this thread!

And I agree with alot of the other members thoughts also, that "The damage has been done" "There all over the internet already"....ect..ect

But I consider everyone on this site a friend!!!!! which includes all the GM employees and GM the company as a whole. So like Moose said "Out of Respect" for our friends at GM.
Yes the damage is done...But maybe we can start a trend, buy not supporting or condoneing stolen information.....PERIOD.

Just my 2 cents.

If they didn't show "leaked" photos here, wouldn't 99% of us just go to another forum to see them? I don't think anyone here supports a guy getting fired, but i don't think many of us have the power to stop ourselves from looking at new pictures of something we have been waiting years for.

I understand what your saying, but 99% of all the photos of the new Camaro on this website were taken in the open air...and do not give away company secrets.

These photos were taken in a closed room with no windows, by an employye who's been fired for the leaked photo.....BIG DIFFERENCE...im my humble opinion...and putting it very simply...by continuing to show these pictures were condoning the theft of privet property.

Once on the net, always on the net, they will never go away!! Forums like this are all about leaks and spying, its the game we play.

No we're not. Don't keep telling yourself that; becuase then you'll start to believe it without exception, and then everyone becomes evil....Technically, every single spy-shot, every little bit of leaked info since August of 2006 is "stolen property". I guess we could take down all of that, and not put any more up...

We here at Camaro5 (or any other forums for that matter) don't have the authority or influence to condone anything unless said material originates here. This didn't, all we are (the site) is a messenger from LeftLane (or wherever it's from) to our members.

So...how about a compromise? If you haven't noticed, the thread has been closed. In due time, it will fade away into nothingness as no responses can ressurect it. The pictures, and all the conversation in the thread remains -- so we aren't cheating our members out of juicy tidbits/pictures if they take the time and effort to go find it.

Does this sound good?

So is it safe to say that we can move on now?

i don't think were doing anything wrong by keeping them up .... if GM asks us to take them down.... then sure i think we should take them down.... its not like there are a thousand camaro forums out there.... just the main few... they can let us know if they want them down... in which out of courtesy to all hardworking people on the project we should take em down.

Like someone said once on the net....always on the net... but camaro5 has class and we should take em down at request from GM anyways if they want them taken down.

Unless we are specifically asked by GM to take them down, we should leave them up. The damage has been done. (Sadly) the Employee has been fired, and us taking them down will not help the situation.

Yeah, if GM asked us to remove them or if removing them got the guy his job back, then yeah take 'em down. But those pics are all over the web now for anyone who knows how to work Google, and removing them from this one website isn't going to change anything. Might as well leave them here unless we're instructed by GM to do so.

There's no reason to remove the thread unless GM asks that of us. Anyone who wants the pictures already obtained them in the initial leak, so nothing happens if these photos are removed. This information has already been released all over the internet. Camaro5's act of removing this information will not make any difference since everyone else already has it.

It's too late, any information is still made available ... The internet is soooo fast!

Anyway, if this story makes Chevy decide it should quit putting the gas cap on the side ... it's good news
