BTW; Turn 2 is mostly all advanced drivers. You'll need to get started with ProFormance (or similar) before you can attend a track day with Turn 2

I was planning on going to The Ridge on 12 August with Hooked on Driving (with a Mustang car club), but if we get a Camaro group together....I will definitely show up!

I thought that too, but I had a talk with Tom and he is more than willing to take on beginners. He also runs the track days for the Porsche club who is willing let others run with them.

MiniHlk and I went out and watched the Turn 2 guys run... They have some really nice cars.

Anyways, I always see Porsche Clubs and BMW Clubs having track days. Heck, they are even supported by the local dealerships. It would be nice to see a Chevy Group running together...

Right on! I had heard from a friend that runs with ProFormance and Turn 2 that you kind of have to earn your stripes before joining a Turn 2 lapping day. I've never spoken with Tom so that is good to hear.

I'd love to see a bunch of Camaro's at the track! I've had 3 different sessions this year where there was one other Camaro there but that's it.

I would love to try this, but $400 might be more than I can afford right now.

Now I'm not so sure... does anyone know if you can rent helmets anywhere?? I started looking at buying one, and the cheapest one I can find is $350, and some of them run up to about 3 GRAND!! I don't know if I can justify spending more on the helmet than the track day itself...
