Here's a rough preliminary cruise option. Would be about 8-10 hours of driving each day. 2 nights/3 days getting to IN. This route would take us through Black Hills and Mt Rushmore which would be a pretty sweet cruise.

http://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=sa...mra=ls&t=m&z=5

You could cut the total time by about 5 hours if you straight-shot it and skip Rushmore - maybe do the faster route on the drive back.

+1 That is a great idea, might as well get some extra scenery in on the way there!

There is a Hampton Inn and a Holiday Inn at the Jct of I-74 and Hwy 267 (North Green Street) Brownsburg, IN

These are just a few miles North and West of the track.

Depending on where the "official" host hotel is.
I stayed away from the host hotel this year, and kinda wish I had just paid and stayed there; there seemed to be a lot of fun going on there at nights.
Course, if Jordan puts me to work all day long, I may just go and crash at night

Yeah! Hanging with everyone at the host hotel was half the fun - I'll wait till they announce then book wherever the masses are going.

That's AWESOME!! can't wait.

Yeah the host hotel is where it's at! The night time activities are the fun times. I plan on staying out later this go round. Last time I didn't take it all in and regret it.

Ooch! Seriously thinking about this route (driving up to SLC the day before). My wife really wants to see Rushmore (been there myself) and I hate the kansas/oklahoma drive.
