The only time I tested was on the highway shortly after I got it. It was about 22mpg. Granted I was doing about 78 and going in and out of construction so I was accelerating quite a bit. (f***ing Detroit).

Picked mine up this afternoon. 1 SS Auto 10 miles on the car. Going home 25 mpg is no problem on interstate. Country roads and small town combination included 22.3 total for 60 mile trip home.

That's impressive...not very far below what my cobalt would get before I replaced the filter (us. 25 under those conditions)...huh!

You are like the advice dog today aren't you?

I do so much 0-50-0 around the detroit area my mileage is probably horrible. I'll try to do a "true" test on the highway this weekend.

The computer's actually really accurate in my car. It measures live-feed and calculates the mpgs in real-time. I do the technique you mentioned every time I fill up, and the computer only tends to underestimate by 1 mpg if any...

What makes you think the computer is not accurate? This makes no sense...

If the computer in my car says it used 12.8 gallons since the last fill-up, that's exactly what it will take when I pump gas into it. And whatever it says the mpg is, it's always exactly correct. I checked it a couple times early on because it was the first car I ever had that calculated those things, but I stopped checking when I realized it was never off at all. Those calculations are child's play for computers.

2007..with 98K miles!? That's more than my exploder has incurred in 8 years..

Which after running the numbers.. I wind up with a whopping 10.7 MPG. >_<
