Hell yes! The more you encourage her Camaro love, the more she supports your addiction!

I say yes... I'm actually thinking about making my wife drive mine so she won't be afraid of it in an emergency. Much better for her to get used to it in a controlled situation.

I say yes, what is the worst that can happen? Get go out to an empty parking lot. That is how i was taught on my buddy's 94 z28 LT1. I have tried to teach people in mine but they freak out bc they know how attached i am to it so they immediately shoot me down. They say oh ill break it, um honestly you really cant break it, under warranty, and if so it can always be replaced. P.S. its nice to have a girl that wants to learn, theres not a bigger turn on then that.

Just some background on her. First things first I own one of the largest Collision Centers in the New Orleans area second I met my wife because she was one of my best customers and she has totaled 2 cars in the last four years and still has an occasional yellow poll at the gas station incident so with that do you see why this is such a big deal....lol Note: When she wrecks they arent really ever worth fixing she does a good job at it

YES.... my husband taught me on our brand new firebird formula back in the day. Starting in a parking lot then I would practice driving around the neighborhood. Had trouble starting out :( but then got the hang of it. Glad I learned because now I drive a ZL 575 Camaro SS M6 and it's fun. You never forget once you learn!

I don't get it, according to some people on the forum, women know how to instinctively drive these better than men.

I agree with those that say learn in a beater. But I don't say a beater, but maybe a 4 banger. Less chance it gets away from her. So unfortunately I say NO. But hopefully she's a quick learner and is in the SS before you know it. Plus reading the posts it looks like she's in good shape. A lot of Yes votes.

I don't think anyone is saying they know how to drive them instinctively better. Most of us are saying that women are equal to men. We may have some different parts...but I'd never tell a woman she couldn't do something simply because she was a woman.

I can tell you that my wife pulled better times than I did in her Typhoon when we took it to the track-her daily driver at the time. I did better in the Corvette-my daily driver at the time... The typhoon was just as fast as the vette at the time, so it wasn't a HP issue.
