The first song I'd play is "Blue Collar Man" by Styx. To me, this song says "I'll never stop pushing my self & working hard for what I want" & this Camaro is definitely what I want. The guitar intros are great on this tune.....
If I get the 'vert instead, then it will be "Blinded by the light" by Manfred Mann's Earth Band. This is one of my favorite Cruising songs & the light shining off of my new Camaro 'vert will blind everyone else on the road!!!! |

I tried to find this yesterday, was waiting for it to come back. I will date myself and say Springsteen, perhaps starting with Racing in The Streets....
Some guys they just give up living And start dying little by little, piece by piece, Some guys come home from work and wash up, And go racin' in the street. I will forgive him for the line in the song about blowing the Camaro from LA off his tail, but he is talking about a 69 Chevy with a 396... Followed by Born to Run and Thunder Road and several others.... |

A Tad Mean... Perhaps
Picture it...
Dropping off my kids to the ex... The man who told me I was nothing without him... That I would be lost without him... He who made my life a living hell during and after the marriage.... I pull up in my new Camaro convertible... top down... kids smiling... Music playing... uh oh... I need an awesome EAT YOUR HEART OUT song... Help Help Help |

How about Already Gone by the Eagles although it is written as a guy talking to a girl....But just set the CD to start right about here....
Well I know it wasn't you who held me down Heaven knows it wasn't you who set me free So often times it happens that we live our lives in chains And we never even know we have the key But me, I'm already gone And I'm feelin' strong I will sing this vict'ry song 'Cause I'm already gone Yes, I'm already gone And I'm feelin' strong I will sing this vict'ry song 'Cause I'm already gone Yes, I'm already gone Already gone All right, nighty-night |

That I dug my key into the side of his pretty little souped up 4 wheel drive, carved my name into his leather seats... I took a Louisville slugger to both headlights, slashed a hole in all 4 tires... Maybe next time he'll think before he cheats." |

Great list there, never saw the song She Got the Gold Mine and I Got the Shaft Before..... The day I come home and found my suitcase sittin’ out on the porch. Well, I tried to get in – she changed the locks! Then I found this note taped on the mailbox That said, “Goodbye, turkey! My attorney will be in touch!” Mm-hmm… So I decided right then and there I’s gonna do what’s right – give her her fair share. But brother – I didn’t know her share’s gon’ be THAT much! She got the gold mine! She got the gold mine! I got the shaft. I got the shaft. They split it right down the middle, And then they give her the better half. Well, it all sounds sorta funny, But it hurts too much to laugh. She got the gold mine - I got the sha-a-aft. Now, listen – you ain’t heard nothin’ yet: Why, they give her the color television set, Then they give her the house, the kids, and both of the cars! See? Well, then they start talkin’ ‘bout child support, Alimony, and the cost of the court – Didn’t take me long to figure out how far in the toilet I was! I’m tellin’ ya, they have made a mistake ‘Cause it adds up to more than this cowboy makes! Besides; everything I ever had worth takin’, they’ve already took! While she’s livin’ like a queen on alimony, I’m workin’ two shifts eatin’ baloney, Askin’ myself, “Why didn’t you just learn how to cook?!?!” |
