My plans were to powder coat or paint red to match my 1LE brakes.

So this would be a direct bolt on replacement?

Yes, I believe you need to trim the stock dust shield because it is designed around the SS calipers. Justice Pete has a thread on it. Outside of that it is a straight swap.

Or you can get the "backing plate" from the 1LE/ZL1 it is essentially just a heat shield for the ball joint.

Some of you might want different pads. I can do $1,550 without pads. You can also paint them yourself to match your existing rear brakes or have a local shop paint or powder coat them as Firefighter did. If you can sell your stock brakes for $500 and you take out the price of the braided line and fluid which you should upgrade regardless this upgrade is right around $1,000 with pads.

My kit arrived yesterday, new parts. I did upgrade to the ZL1 rotors.
I'll paint the calipers and the centers of the rear disks and she'll be sweet!

Glad you are happy, post dome pics after you paint. I cant wait for spring to come so I can do the upgrade myself which will be just in time to run at Sebring in May.
