I live in MD where it is required. Being that I work on a Navy base, I didn't want to be pulled over ever five minutes so I just had myservicing dealer install the bracket. The original dealer didn't want to put it on I had to beg them for the bracket. I actually like it because the colors match my car. Now, no cops can bother me.

I live in Texas so I went ahead and had the Dealer install my front bracket and put the plate on myself. It looks better than I thought it would and I don't have to worry about getting a ticket. You don't need to give a cop another reason to pull you over because you're already driving a CAMARO!
Also be careful if you decide to mount onthe grill area as I have heard this may block some of the essential airflow needed for the engine and cooling. -SKK |

I've had mine for over 2 years now, and never been bothered. Even with the 3 tickets I've gotten, it's never been written up.

I have a ford ranger from 2003 that's never had a front plate in california or Texas plus the Camaro since Dec 2009 with no front plate. I've been pulled over a few times in both vehicles and never gotten a ticket for no front plate. From what I understand, there's an issue with the front plate law in Texas at the moment. It may or may not be legal or may or may not be used as justification to pull someone over. Blah, legal mumbo jumbo. |

I don't have a front plate and haven't had any trouble "knock on wood" I am waiting for my second plate to arrive. I got a jacfab plate holder whenever the original owners send me it.

Yes, i do display. Did the mod with toggle bolts and no holes drilled. Works fine, plate on, never any problems. Cost about two bucks. Put fuzzy Velcro tape between bracket and bumper to avoid scratches from vibration.

i don't have my front plate on either.. but THANKFULLY i haven't gotten pulled over for it *knock on wood* it does worry me sometimes though, its just an extra excuse for the cop to pull you over to see if you're doing anything illegal... no seat belt, drinking, drugs, weapons, etc... Luckily i don't do any of those things

Front plate is on...I don't get why breaking the law and paying fines is cool, this car is already a heat score as it is, why draw more attention to yourself....it only takes one time to get the cop that has had a really bad day and doesn't care what you story is......

I have my front plate between my dash and my windshield. I bought the eliminator bracket, but b/c the instructions were hard to understand I never put it on, I've no plans to do so and I'm glad I haven't.

It's because for a lot of people(including me), having a front plate subtracts from the aesthetic beauty of the vehicle.

I used the word "cool" because of a lack of better wording that I could come up with. I'll agree to disagree and leave it at that.
