So I know that I haven't been on the site very often for the past 7 months due to school being busy and haven't really had the time to troll -

So the other day on I-5 in stop and go traffic this guy isn't paying any attention and clips me at like 30-40mph while I'm stopped. What a bummer. And now that I have orders to Beaufort, SC I don't think the car is going to get fixed anytime soon.

Hope ya'll are doing good and I can't wait to get back on the thread more often.

Damn dude that sucks, I feel for ya though this has happen to me more times than you'd think. Did they at least stop and give you their info?

yeah they stopped, luckily.....now though GMAC can't get a hold of him to hear his side of the story so my deductible is hanging in the balance now.

Is he okay(I know you wanted to "get his attention")? Was he on the phone or something? Was there no accident report by the police? Why, if there was a report, would GMAC need to get his side. It should be in the report. You were stopped in traffic.

Sorry to see that Doc, hope all is o.k. As to the cops out here if the damage isnt great or no one is hurt they dont bother. They'll roll up and ask that and then leave and say let the ins deal with it. You really have to ask them to take a report, dont know anymore if they would though as I havent needed that in a long time thank goodness!

Because unless someone got hurt or government property was damaged, the cops generally refuses to come out.

I don't know about filing a police report anymore. One of my co-worker had it work against him when he was not at fault.

Yeah, thanks guys for all the support. Hopefully, it will get fixed here sooner or later. It's going to get shipped to SC in this condition since they are saying a minimum of 12 days to get fixed. Don't really know what he was doing other than not paying attention....blah. Oh, and yeah, the CA Hwypatrol came out and said that since there was no injuries they won't file a report. I was surprised, but my insurance company agreed that is CHP policy. Crazy huh.

PISSER! that sucks man. Looks like the majority of the damage is the bumper, hopefully a new painted bumper would take care of 90+% of that mess, looks like there's a bit of sheet metal damage at that one point, hopefully a easy fix. best of luck with it.

Thanks man! Sorry to hear that the ported project is down the drain, and totally wish that I could get them off of you, but with me moving I have completely no extra cash. I know that they will get to a good home!

BTW......if you need a good body shop, City Chevy in Charlotte is pretty good.
