that rendering is full of gibberish numbers. The camaro doesn't do 128 mph in 3rd at 4000 rpm.

Oh, and I want a HUD too. On a blue SS.

I know when I had the windshield in my 2004 GP GTP replaced they had to put in a special windshield because it has a coating on the inside for the HUD that eliminates glare.

No, we are not kidding you. This is going to be the first brand new car that i have ever bought. It will have every single stupid little option that I want, and Only then will I be 100% satisfied. So if that means that i have to wait, then I will wait. Shit, Ive been waiting 3 years, whats one more, thats a walk in the park! Plus at the time that i buy my camaro, all the rest of the options will be out for the car (ground effects, wing, and even the vert), Maybe even an an SS upgrade if you know what i mean. I usually get awarded with patience, and this time will be no exception!!

Since 1998 Corvette guys have been able to successfully install the HUD w/o the "special windshield'. I personally installed 2 on buddies C5's. Folks are just starting to it with the C6. The HUD works just fine w/o the windshield. The parts for a C5 cost about $350 and it was plug and play, there was some dash cutting but GM left the outline on the underside of the dash to facilitate the cut. Plus the trim bezel was large enough to cover any error.

The C6 is a little more complicated as GM did not intend 1/2LT's to have the HUD, they drove you to the 3LT. But many C6 owners have figured it out and a few supporting vendors will sell all the parts to retro fit it.

The comment about the speedometer needle is a riot, guess he hasn't see the HUD on a Vette.

I drove an 05 vette with HUD that I was looking to purchase before I found out how soon they were taking orders on the camaro. To be quite honest I wasn't really impressed. I am more impressed with the fact that this car is going to come with Launch Control from the factory.

It's been awhile, anyone heard if this feature is going to become available soon like the backup sensors?

Well, there is no speedo needle on the HUD. It's just the number.

I had it in a grand prix and my wife couldn't use it because she was too short. I think this will really be a problem with this car.

Grab one out of a GP and slap it in. Just runs off the VSS. Maybe some calibration needed. I couldnt care less about a HUD or Backup sensors lol. I bought mine for power and looks and for the glory of Sparta!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
