Exactly. there are at least 2 of them that GM makes. and a third in prototype form. just ripping on you.

But no, I wouldn't say "out of the question" but rather "highly questioned" again.:p Go figure.

They keep throwing us curve balls. One day everyone talks about it...and it goes on for months. Then, the next day it's gone. Then, another...then gone. I give up. I just know it'll be worth the wait.

Umm, that was the LS2 that had 400. The LS3 has 430.

I hope the gen V engines will be out and I think not knowing what will be in the beast will keep me anxious until production.

I just wish someone would leak motor options to us already. If they have test-mules then they must have the engine decisions all but finalized, I'd like to know what we're looking at >.<

I wonder if the secrecy is in part to keep the info away from competitors?

Well things can still change. They may be 99% sure, but it wouldn't be too hard to change to a different, but similar engine. Of course most of the Challenger's engine data is still unofficial, along with everything about the next 'stang, so it is a waiting game against the competition.

You hit the nail on the head. That's 90% of the reason.
Scott sounds like a parrott sometimes, as he keeps repeating over and over; Don't show your cards untill you're ready.
GM's not ready, yet.

That's right. I was looking for Challenger info last night. They've set a starting price and some basic information, but the goal is to keep the Mustang at bay, not just the Challenger. Without any good info on the upcoming Mustang, GM isn't safe announcing horsepower numbers, engine name, or car features. I really commend GM for being so organized and smart about what they release to the public. They've done a great job.

I've never seen a car project quite as tight-lipped as this one is!

Yeah, it has to be. The Camaro has two very clear competitors, and in this class of cars its all about one-upping with the numbers, a lot like trucks. If GM shows their hand too early Ford and Dodge know just how much they have to do to just beat it, and suddenly the Camaro's superiority is gone.

I really hope the Camaro two-ups the competition!
