15" conversion kit
I'm looking to convert to 15" rims and tires. Can anyone send me in the right direction. What company makes a great product? How much is the kit and how satisfied are with the kit.

BMR and IPS make complete kits, be prepared to spend at least 5 grand.

BMR Kit is really nice....it's actually broken down into 2 separate parts that you will need to buy.
(DRP007) Drag Race Suspension Package ($1279.00) (BCP001) Brake Conversion Package ($2139.00) Total comes to $3418 (MSRP).....but that doesn't include the cost of Wheels/Tires!!! So yes, expect to pay around $5000 total. The only downside to this kit is the loss of a functional emergency brake. If you're serious about drag racing, that's not a big deal. If you still want some "streetability", it could be a big deal. |

V6 rear brakes/rotors will allow a 16" wheel....but not a 15".

There's more tire selection on 15s, not many in 16s.

Exactly!!! There is a very wide variety of 15" wheels and tires. And they're fairly inexpensive. On the other hand, with 16", you're pretty limited and the wheels are a pretty big jump in price. Plus, with the 16" set-up, you're not losing all the additional weight that this kit does....it's like 72 lbs.!!! Lots of people still do 16", it would probably be cheaper initially. But for the ultimate drag set-up....15" is the way to go.

Adm performance sells a 15 inch kit also. Like i have said many times before that they offer these kits. Utilizes gm components also. Just dont have an e brake anymore. But 15 inch wheel and tire combo is way cheaper. So whrn you need tires again they are $200 cheaper.
