This is the build thread for my 2012 Camaro 45th Anniversary SS Coupe, it was purchased with an M6 transmission and the hurst shifter (the only option). Overall, the goal for the build is to become one of the few 9 second Camaros here. To get there, I plan on using the Magnacharger TVS2300 with an LSX motor and a little nitrous
. I will be keeping the clutch pedal for a bit, but a TH400 is already in the works. Here goes nothing!I picked up the car on 1 June, 2012; here it is once I got it home! ![]() Special Thanks to: Stevinson Chevrolet USA Performance Engines Texas Speed and Performance Jessika at Supercharger Connection Jannety Racing Nitrous Express Hendrix Engineering Phastek Performance Tire Rack Summit Racing Fuel Injector Connection Vivid Racing Modulare Wheels Mods to Date: Engine: LSX Short Deck Block Callies Compstar 4.000" Stroke Crank Callies Compstar I Beam 6.125 Connecting Rods Wiseco 9.0:1 4.065 Bore Pistons ARP Main Stud Kit LS3-LSX 6 Bolt Heads ARP 6 Bolt Head Stud Kit Custom TSP Blower Cam (undecided) PRC .675 Dual Valve Springs with Titanium Retainers Melling High Volume Oil Pump Cometic Head gaskets Nick Williams 102mm Throttle Body RX Dual Valve Monster Catch Can Lingenfelter 10 rib 6% Overdrive Kit Power Adders: Magnuson TVS2300 with OD Cogs, Ported Snout, and Ported Tub Nitrous Outlet Single Nozzle Wet Kit Exhaust: Stainless Works 2" Primary Headers Magnaflow Competition Series 3" Center Exit Fuel System: LPE Dual Fuel Pump FIC 80lb Injectors Drivetrain: Spec Stage 3+ Clutch DSS 1000hp Axles Eaton TrueTrac Differential JRE Billet Main Caps Coming Soon: TH400 Suspension: Eibach R2 External Reservoir Coilovers Eibach 29mm Sway Bars, Front and Back BMR Fabrication Complete Pro Bushing kit Pfadt Rear Toe rods Pfadt Rear Trailing Arms Lakewood Subframe Connectors Hotchkis Strut Tower Brace Exterior: Plasti dipped Bowties Interior: 45th Anniversary Mats Wheels: Modulare M2s: 22x9.5 and 22x11 wrapped in PZero Neros Exhaust Clips: Walk through: Idle Clip: Revving: Last edited by 2SS45th; 04-05-2013 at 06:21 PM. |

cars sounds good. You should post up the pics of your new wheels! So on a scale of 0-10 how much louder would you say the new exhaust is vs the stock one? Personally I am not looking for much louder but just "better" and headers with Magnaflow is up there on the list of options.

Here's my scale: 1 is stock, and 10 is a full on drag car. It's probably a Seven without a cam. And I'll post wheels pics right now!

more wheel pictures
.... Just kidding, , but I would like to see some more pics though. I'm looking at the Modulare wheel myself. What's your impression going from the 20's to 22's?So the headers and Magnaflow (and headers) exhaust really bumped up the sound levels? I heard the Magnaflow wasn't too loud. I want the power, but not all the noise. I was thinking magnaflow was the answer. |

Magnaflow is defintely the answer, just not the 3" center exit system. That system is currently the only 3" they have without mufflers. I will get better pics of the wheels soon too. Going to the 22s was different, and the ride isn't as solid. Can't say anything bad about Modulare, just didn't really want to spend 8k, but I liked them a lot!
Update: Ordered a Complete Suspension set up, will be installing within the next week! Eibach R2 External reservoir coilovers, Eibach Sways, BMR complete bushings, Lakewood subframe brace, Hotchkis strut tower brace, and Pfadt rear to and trailing arms! |

Love the vert. Putting it away for the winter tomorrow too. sigh. Only mod so far is the heritage grill. Going to put drop springs and some suspension upgrades in it this winter I think.

Very nice, I know the feeling, I hate the idea of having to put mine away for the winter. But, better than having them out in all the snow and ice. I'll let you know what I think of my Eibach stuff, it looks real high quality.
