You have no idea....

After I realized where I was and what happened...my first reaction was to keep going...I didn't want the water to rise to the airbox, so I wanted to keep it swirling underneath...after that I was scared stiff for a few minutes....stupid-stupid-stupid-stupid.

I didn't know it was that deep...probably a combination of early-morning-ness and how dark/rainy it was. It's quite a surprise to have water sliding up your roof and onto your windshield...............

Luckily all that happened was I got some water in the airbox and my filter got wet. I'm cleaning it right now, in fact. Cobalt handled it like a champ, though...love this car......

Next time....notice how high up the wheel the water reaches on a Semi's front end....
You think that's bad. My wife called me at work today to tell me that her mother rear ended her dad at a stop sign while they where on the way to drop her car off for inspection tomorrow. Now, not only does it still need inspected, but it needs a new front end and head light. His truck needs a new rear bumper and tail pipes. Both vehicles are just over a year old.

Snorkel kit for the win! I'm still disappointed that I never got to ford any rivers in the HMMWVs :( That should be part of the instruction course!
