If nothing else, it'll spark consumer interest. There are people who don't know the maro is for sure being built. A dodge salesman said that to me when I looked at a chally and began comparing it to the maro. Good thing I knew better. I think hard #s on the ss will erase all doubt of the car not coming to be and keep potential buyers from shopping elsewhere.

So true PSI... But just because a car can get to 60mph in 4.7 really doesn't mean jack fellas... The new ricers out all pretty much hit 60mph under 5 secs... It's the quarter-mile were looking for right??? And those same ricers hit the quarter in 14's and high 13's, they've got no pull...its all spent up at 60mph... That's WEAK... I mean we should be looking at the quarters... If the Gxp is hitting 13.3 with a LS3 that's not really that fast... I know i've said this but 5.7 R/T's hit that all day long... and run 5 and 5.1 to 60mph... So obviously the R/T HEMI has more pull... It's simple logic...

.....what does that have to do with magazine reviews sparking consumer interest?

(and for a critic of bench racing...you do an awful lot of it...)

0-60 4.7 seconds
1/4 mile 13.3 sec @ 109 mph
The GXP has MUCH better overall gearing than the Camaro. The Camaro won't even get out of third in the 1/4 and 4th gear is comparable to the 5th gear on the GXP. It's geared almost as if it has three overdrives! To just match the stock GXP it will need ~4.10's, and at that point it will only have respectable gearing. To have decent gearing of going 125mph through the traps in the 1/4 in 4th it will need the equivalent of 4.50 gears.
