Did your airbags deploy? It only contacts you if they do.

i did my free year but that's it. all i ever used it for was the GPS where you call them and tell them where you want to go. which i did kinda like but then they told me how expensive it was to keep, and i realized

"hmm for that money i can buy a great GPS, once, instead of their ridiculous yearly bill"

Tell us the whole story, please.

How severe was the accident? When did this happen?

4 free months sounds like a pretty good offer...

Hmm I'm gonna guess air bags did not deploy. I too like their gps direction system but will not keep it after it expires.

Here's the thread with the accident. Reading the thread the airbags did not deploy hence the no call from onstar.

My mother was in a accident in a full size trailblazer. She was stopped at a light when a truck flying rammed into the back. His truck was in the back seats, then my mothers trailblazer went into a Lexus and the Lexus went under a Dodge Ram. My mom had to cut out, her seat broke and she went flying... she tried hitting the on star and apparently that one area 2 minutes from my house it would not work.
With that happening and no response from on star, yes it is crap.

Onstar has no sensors for minor fender benders.

They call the car and 911 for the potential critical injury cases typical of airbag deployment or roll over.

Operated as intended. Offered some free service. And they are crap?

not following the logic there. In minor fender benders, the driver can push the button and they will assist with the police, wrecker... so their service was available for this situation.

I'd be more miffed about the steering sticking. That's a real issue someone needs to be all over getting to the bottom of.

So they want to give you four months free service because you called to complain about something that isn't a problem at all?

What are you angry about again?
