You know it was a SRT8 for sure? If so that's a nice run and I'm sure it'll go back and forth between the SRT8 and the SS, depending on the drivers.

chally is too slab sided but still a good looking car.
i'm gonna go with the camaro as the best looking although i wish the greenhouse were less chopped and the car has somewhat of a prototype/showcar look to it that is not fully fleshed out for production.
Overall, it is still the better looking of the 2.

I raced my buddies Challenger R/T last week at the track and had a full 1.0 second lead at the end of each race. There was an SRT8 Charger with Magnaflo exhaust and his best run was 1/10th of a second slower than mine. So from what I saw on that particular day the SRT8 with exhaust is close to making up the weight advantage the SS has. And a tenth of a second can be made up by a good driver easily.

As for looks it so subjective but the masses love the Camaro. I have people all the time commenting on how buetiful the Camaro is and many of them make a point to say they love the Chally but the Camaro wins the beuaty contest.

A tick over 13.0 sec. and you're through the quarter-mile. It's a rush, of course, but not overly dramatic. Try the same thing with this pair's predecessors of 1970 or so and you'll find yourself in a bit of a wrestling match. Ain't progress wonderful? Maybe yes, and maybe sometimes it's fun to wrestle."

Took my 2SS to the track last weekend and met a buddy with a SRT-8. This was the first time he has seen a Camaro up close and he was blown away. He liked it much more than his Challenger. We both agree that the Challenger is a very nice car, but just doesnt have the appeal and the shock you get from the Camaro. We decided to have a couple races not long after so we headed down to the line. We are both bone stock and I took him on all three runs. I used the competition mode on my auto (his was also auto) and there was no real ''race'' between us. I didn't kill his time or anything but it was a ''good'' win. There was no question which car is faster. The 2SS is definitely quicker than the SRT-8. And for all the he must not know what he's doing guys, he races there every weekend and also races on the dirt tracks and builds his own race cars. We both know what we are doing. Just thought I'd add my story. BTW, wasn't really paying too much attention to our times so I can't really tell you an exact time difference. Was somewhere around 13.1 or 2 to 13.4. I have a heavily modded 97 Trans Am running in the low 11's so that was the only car I was concerned on times for along with his modded 2008 GT Mustang in the mid 11's. Our SS and SRT-8 cars are just usually there for show with the other 2.
