One owner 1971 RS/Z28

My parents bought me a new 1971 RS/Z28 for my 16th birthday that I drove for 11 summers and then put it in storage. I try to get it out once a year to run some gas through it, change the fluids, detail it, and put it back on stands. It has never had the engine, trans, or rear end out of it. Other than headers, tires, wheels, and painted once, it is all original. I do have the stock stuff for it. I have been on Camaro5 for about 3 years, but never have gone into the 2nd gen forum. What I was wondering is if anybody else has a Burnt Orange (paint code 62) Z. I have been told that it is rare color. Ken Lingenfelter has one in his collection but other than that I have only seen a few of them. Thank you

Sorry, I knew that was coming. I will post some pics when I get a chance. There is one other pic in the "view my garage" section.

That's a nice '71. Very cool that you still have it. After looking at your pictures, your user name should have been OneOwner. : )

My uncle had one back in the day. Not sure but I thought it was a 73? Same options but with AC (which is why I think it was a 73). Also Color name changed from Burnt orange to Medium orange. Beautiful car you have!

Thank you. I seem to have a problem selling things. Wish I would have kept the 83 Z I bought new and a couple of motorcycles that I had. My father bought the 57 new and left it to me when he passed away 17 years ago. Maybe I should edit and delete the "one owner", just thought it is kind of cool I bought everything new and kept it.

Thank you Bowtie. The medium orange was a very nice color, but was a little different than the burnt orange. They had so many oranges back in the day.

I know the headers are a little dated, but they were the thing to have back when I was in high school. I almost had my father talked into a Baldwin/Motion Phase 3 but nobody would ins it with a 16 year old kid driving it. They had the side pipes and I thought they were really cool, so I put them on my car. Sure wish I had a Motion

No, don't delete the one owner. I think it's cool. I'm kind of the same way. 5 vehicles for just me and my wife ('14 Camaro, '05 Saturn, '99 Silverado, '86 Dodge D250 and a '75 Jeep CJ5). The Jeep is a recent project we started. And the Dodge was my dad's truck. It was left to me when he passed away as well. I don't really need the truck but it has sentimental value. I was 16 and went with him when he bought it new in '86. Rides like a brick and gets about 10 MPG but we use for trips to Lowes, going out to get ice cream and just random drives every now and then just for fun. : )

That's really cool that you kept the truck. Its nice when you can look at something like that and it brings back memories of your parents.
I hardly ever use any of "the toys", my wife and I both drive 2014 Malibu's, but I like having them. Most nice days were boating.
Nice hearing from you Tom, be safe.
By the way, really like your white RS, great looking car.

I would also like to see some pictures of your car. Recent ones as well as some ones from back in the day.
