If you check out the videos we have of the ZL1 lapping the 'Ring, you can hear it. They must have taken out some sound-deadening for the Camaro application.

Oh you'll hear it! The V has all sorts of baffles on the intake and sound deadening elements on it to keep it quiet. The V guys who have put a CAI on the car can hear the blower a lot more easily.
You gotta know that the ZL1 will be louder than the V!

Yes

More efficient. My guess is they are trying to get more power (and sound) from the ZL1 than the quiet V
