Can I get a set of both I like the polished but the black ones are growing on me.
Same solution I offered in the manual/automatic debate...get both and divide the days of the week by which ones to use.

I think that I responded in another thread today about the wheels being 20x10 front and 20x11 rear which are bigger than the wheels on the current camaros though I'm not sure if they can fit or not...anyone?

There shouldn't be a problem. The Camaro body was designed for these sized wheels/tires from the get-go.

I would have to imagine the SSX wheels would be a pound or two lighter due less material.

I have to agree, although 20's on a '69 might be a little much. I have 18's on now.

Any insight as to why the SSX wheels are the standard wheel and the machined finished wheels are optional? Is it purely a cost reason, or is there a performance or weight reason?

I prefer the look of the machine finished wheel, but if there were a performance benefit to the SSX wheel, I might considered the SSX wheel, especially if it were offered in a silver or light gray.
