It's wholly possible. Depends on the length of the loan.

I pay $0.00 a month.

$1200 a month is $14,400 a year. It all depends on how much he owes and for how long is the loan.

Your information you've given is meaningless just standing alone!

You need to know the amount he financed, the length of time of the loan and the interest rate. If he traded in something he was upside down on, he could have financed more than the car is worth. If he financed it for 2 yrs vs 5, he could have a much higher note. If he has a high interest rate, the note is higher simply because of that.

He could have put down 3/4 of the price, received 0% interest and be paying it off very quickly, or he could flip cars, have no equity, and have horrible credit.

We have no way of knowing which is true based on your information!!!

Is that including his insurance? Sounds like to me.

If you're paying almost as much as a payment on a House for a CAR you should check your priorities...

My payment is ~250 @ 3.9 I believe for 3 years. Paying it off in 2. Can't wait till this is payed off!
