Noobie on Board
Hey all, I'm new to the forum but have read a number of the threads that have been posted.
For what its worth I just left a GM dealership 5K lighter after placing my order for an S/S. Perhaps the dealership doesn't know what they are talking about but I order mine with an LS7 (exact HP not determine but spec's indicated between 500 and 550). He had a piece of paper from GM that itemized each of the power plants and the only engine on the list not confirmed (yet) is the LS9 (620hp). It would appear that it is being considered. |

Welcome! We have not had any engine information confirmed yet, those are all guesses...Somebody might back me up on this. There are plenty of pages for you to read here about engine sizes.

Thats pretty funny considering its has been CONFIRMED the LS7 will NOT be in the Camaro. Sorry my friend, someone lied to you. I'm very curious about this list you speak of.......did u actually see it??? If so, what other powerplants were listed????

sounds like you just put 5K down on something that might not be exactly what you expected, and how can dealerships even be taking money for an order when they cant even tell you what it is, and It may not even be an SS it may be a Z28 no one knows yet, sounds like someone was BSing you.

Hey guys, ive been looking over this site for the past year and check this site atleast 4 times a day, but i guess i'm still considered a newbie.
Are you talking about the John Logan on queen street brampton? I went to Gateway which is down the street to put a deposit in April, they said they already have four pre-orders and that I would have to put 5k down as well. I asked if they had any info and they said none what so ever, so i didnt put the down payment, im just going to wait til september... but i just wanted to know if you were talking about the John Logan on Queen Street, |

Considering you're both from Toronto, I'm going to don my captain obvious costume and say yes.
As for the down payment, I would get that money back asap. Why let the daelership make interest off your "down payment" when you can put it in a 6 month cd and get a little extra money for a slightly bigger down payment? Welcome both of you guys and I hope it works out for you matster. |

Thanks for the greet, i just wanted to know if its confirmed that there will ONLY be the DI V6 and not the non and DI V6? I can only afford 45k on the road for my camaro since im only 17, thats including taxes and finance costs, my brothers 05 mustang started at 26 and ended at 36k, i just want to know if i have to pay more for the DI? i know its off topic but im just curious at this point

Nothing has been ruled out 100% except for the LS7. That has about the same chance as the LS2 of being in the Camaro.
