Yeah. The carb motor kills any interest for me. And this video is from over a year ago.

You're right. It had the base engine because it was going to be swapped out. The rest of the car looks loaded. My bad.

You couldn't get an LB9 5-speed in '85. First year for that was '87. The hottest motor you could get in front of a 5-speed in '85 was the L69 (5.0 H.O.)

Check his You tube comments, he sold the car to someone else and they got $27,000 out of it. They were probably the one that brought it back to life.

It was not even close to being stored correctly. The battery being connected is probably an indicator that it has a full tank of gas too, and don't expect the brakes to work either. I can imagine every seal and bushing in the entire car is dry rotted. The wheels were probably sold off years ago when someone was in a pinch.

It's like the original owner forgot they purchased the car or something.

Custom builds but what is funny if these were built then is the 3.6L engine in the current Camaro produces only 13 less horsepower than the 502 when it was released in the late 80s. With the weight of the motor I am going to say the V6 is the better performer

A V6 WIN!!!!!

That's cool.

I have a buddy that has a 2002 SS convertible w/ 1500 miles on it. It's been garaged since new and he changes the oil every spring. He has it up for sale right now, PM me if anyone is interested.

Russ

I think it would be safe to say all fluids need replaced and I wouldn't trust any of the hoses either.

That video reminded me of how bad the 3rd gen interiors were.
