I believe the vents were open on all the concept cars.
Keep in mind that bumble bee is still a "concept" car. I wouldnt put to much into the cues of it. (I may be completely wrong) It still has the gas filler up on the top of the fender. now let the speculation begin: as a marketing technique they could modify a production front clip off a production SS or Z/28 and affix it to the concept car to get people excited about the production cars........I dont really think so but it could happen. Or not........

I love the pics, but am I the only one that is bothered by the clipboard/whatever sitting on the front fender/hood in the first pic? Dammit, don't scratch the paint!

I think we've been told that the vents won't be open on the production car -just indentations, so bumble bee doesn't really matter. They weren't open on the '69 either and nobody seemed to care.

I think its still a GTmarO. Could have given them an early test model though, bbut those normally get crushed. Since movie cars often get trashed there is a chance . . . but I highly doubt it

why do car designers put non-functional equipment/accessories on a vehicle?

Because then all cars (including this one) would be made using all flat, boring body panels, with no lip spoilers () that did nothing in the eye-candy department.
