Exhaust actuator location
Can someone show me a pic of the exhaust actuators in the ZL1? They're easy to spot on the back of a Vette, but I can't find them in any of the pics of the ZL1's exhaust system. Thanks.

?Vacuum-operated; perhaps off the snout of the SC? That's what I'm gathering...

Yes - they are vacuum actuated - default to "ON"...they use negative manifold pressure to pull them when cruising.

so how would you make it stay open all the time? Would it hurt anything if they stayed open all the time?

ON the vettes we just pulled the fuse or use a Mild 2 Wild controller that allow you to close or open the valves on the fly.

Joe's write-up mentioned that GM said it was a fuse-pull, like many of us had suspected, like the 'Vettes enjoy

I looked up the fuse location and there is a fuse and a relay in the trunk on the passengers side. The fuse is the F8 fuse and the relay is the R2 relay. It is on page 10-53 in the manual or if you look up the electronic manual in one of the other threads it is on page 327. I know I'm gonna be pulling the fuse to see what it sounds like always open.

Thats where I want it to rumble, I want people knowing that this ain't no sissy car. I won't be back from Afghanistan until July to get my car so I'm sure someone else will have done it long before I get the chance to do it.
