Ok so my major question is... we know whats standard... but what are the options say if i want an 1ss with steeringwheel controls and bluetooth/usb but not all the other stuff that is standard with the 2ss...

Am i forced into buying a 2ss and trading off the leather seats and other equipment or can I order an option package that will upgrade certain things?

Of course I want everything in the RS/SS but I will probably end up getting a base SS. Now that I realize it, I won't be able to afford all the bells and whistles I want. The only thing on my top priority list is the console gauge pod. The IOM RS/SS didn't have one in the pic inside the factory. Next on the list is either USB connectivity or HID's. I want some halo's and 8000K's!!!!

I NEED SOME PRICES GM!! sorry for that, I can't wait until December of whenever they will be released. I'm so excited!

Wow, 3 replies in like 3 minutes. thanks guys
Though I would have preferred to build it ala carte to be honest, and try and save a few bucks and pass on the full R/S package. I’m afraid now that the fully loaded 2SS/RS is going to be painful (especially when you add the options that don’t come in any packages). Plus I’d really like to fill those nice big fenders with some wider wheels and tires, and that’s going to be more $$. Anyone know the sizes (width and dia) of the aftermarket GM wheels and they will be upgrade options to the factory ones?

Hey guys. Just so everyone knows. I goofed and merged this thread with an older one asking about trim levels. As result I had to delete a bunch of posts to maintain the continuity of this thread. If you are missing a post that you'd like me to recover for you, send me a PM...

Sorry for the mix up

HID Lamps

So does this mean if I don't go RS I can't get HID? Do you think it can be something that can be added? I was thinking 1SS...

Things i dont need are like the blue tooth, USB, rear parking assist, and remote start. Dont get me wrong, I definitly would love to have it all, just a little too much money for me. All I really need is the leather, ambient, and BA. Now if we are able to get the 2SS/RS for 36K than count me in!!! Sadly, I just can't see that happening. But besides that, thanks Punter.
I don't think the invoice of the SS2/RS (fully loaded) should be much more than 33g's. Remember a lot of these features are upgrades of items already in the car so they should not be paying full price like high end aftermarket upgrade. The roof ditch and spoiler 20 inch wheels on the SS is an upgrade for the LT,ls as part of the RS package. So you should expect to pay a noticeably cheaper price for the RS package on the SS than the V6. I've had two 4rth gen's factory ordered so from experience the base price does go up significantly for the v8 but the v8 also brings some standard equipment that the v6 is optional. Therefor cheaper option packages for the v8. My guess is GM takes aim at the mustang/ford because of volume. That means expect the camaro v6 price to be comparable to fords v6 but probably around 1-2 grand more, same goes for the v8. So if a base GT can be had for around 26 for deluxe 28 for premium(without incentives) add 2 G's for camaro and 2-3 G's for options packages and you come in around 33 before taxes. Off course this is using logic and past experiences no guarantee on guesses. Also think GM wants volume with these so I don't see it being that much more expensive especially when you later have an option for a convertible and its 3-5 grand more for rag top or hard top. Just a note the dealers will all try to charge a premium for these so that can really hurt our wallets since everyone wants one. But that's out of GM's hands.

2SS
- Leather heated seats
- Ambient lighting
- Boston acoustics premium audio system
- Aux (Center console) gauges
- Auto dimming mirrors
- Steering wheel controls
- Bluetooth and USB
- Remote start (auto only)
- Rear park assist.

I don't want any of this stuff except the gauges, do you think they'll be a difficult install at a later date? If I can't just order them by themselves.

LOL,

Normally it does, But there is no "UnMerge" option. And when you merge threads the oldest original post wins. So Headpunters post was like two pages down...

Woops.

hmmm...i hate the grouping. i didn't want to spend extra 4 a ss2, but if i have 2 for ambient lighting and cluster gauges, argg, that makes me mad. i wish it would be a "pic ur options one @ a time" thing, but i guess then they wouldn't make as much $$
