Black and gray...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Please, GM, dump Aqua Blue Metallic for the Corvette Jetstream Blue, or something simular to the old 1969 Le Mans Blue...I would be all over that.

Yes sir and EXACTLY why I shyed off of black. I was hell bent on black with gray stripes, but have since then heard at least 20+ people mention that is their color scheme as well. I dont know if you notice it...around Seminole County(at least near me) most stangs are black or gray. Subsequently, I am steering clear of both black and gray...I very rarely see anything similiar to IBM or red...I may lean that way.

Cool. I agree -- not all yellows are equal. When my 2005 "Screaming Yellow" Mustang is side-by-side with a 2004 "Chrome Yellow" Mustang, the difference is huge, and the 2004 looks very pale in comparison.

Back in 2004 when the new Mustang was being introduced, these same color discussions were going on in the Mustang forums. And they're pretty fruitless to be honest, because you have to see the cars in person. Pictures are only representations of the colors. Pictures of the same car taken with different cameras will look different, depending on how the camera interprets the colors (my avatar picture is far darker than the actual car color, for example). And then on computers, different combinations of graphics cards and monitors will display the colors differently.

I went by the dealer's color chips when ordering my Mustang, and I chose Satin Silver. Two weeks later I actually saw a Satin Silver car in person, and I couldn't get to the dealer quick enough to change my order. The silver looked a lot more gray and dull in person than I expected...

I hate to have to wait for a new Camaro, but I will not order any specific color without seeing it first in person.

I wonder though, if Bumblebee "Valspar Sunrise" yellow was offered, how high up on the list it would have been, even if it cost $1,000-$2,000 more..

I hope GM doesn't get the wrong idea about yellow in this poll since I too would have voted differently if a yellow that more closely resembled Sunrise yellow was offered...

It's funny. Sometimes you miss things you agree with and remember things you don't. I would have thought that black would have finished way down the list. I heard so many say they would never buy black because it's hard to keep clean.

My dad always told me that but low and behold he bought a truck last month and BLACK. He said he just couldn't stay away from it any more.

So it turns out that the most indifferent color is SIM...the graph dips at both extremes and stays strong through the middle. Very interesting.

Looks like IOM truly is love it or hate it. Big disparity in the middle of the graph.

Wow, ABM was a truly despised color.

I'd say that people cared about Imperial Blue the least. Its pretty consistent from 10-2. Compared to black where it had a very strong positive response or white where there was a very strong negative response.
