Drag radials help a lot, though as a stick guy you might get some wheel hop, in which case you might need some aftermarket lower control arms and toe rods.

I run some from LSR and with drag radials I've been 1.59 a few times on Nittos.

Would they still fit even if I changed to a ZL1 diff? Because I plan on doing that when I get a blower in the future.

Don't bother with the Goodyears. They are like the worst tire ever at the drags strip. If you can get a 2.0 with them you are doing great. I was faster on SS Pirellis.

But if you must race with the stock tires, go around the water, spin just a little. If you spin the GYs too much they get greasy. Oops, repeat advice ^^.

Wheelhop, gearing, and weight transfer are all big problems with a stock 1LE in the 1/4.

I have Michelin PSS on, always went around the water box, never did any sort of burnout.

I ran 2 Saturdays ago and was running 2.03-2.05 60' times, no drag radials, just ran on my Nitto Invos. Had some tire spin and wheel hop so ordered the JDP Anti wheel hop package(BMR lower control arms, toe links, upper control arm bushings and subframe bushings). They are being installed this week while we are on vacation. Hope to get back to the track as soon as possible after we get back and see how much the package helps.

Should be able to go 1.7/1.8 on drag radials. OP could go mid 12's at least. I'd say 12.3 to 12.5.
