Windows won't close :(

I've looked through the TSB's and couldn't fine anything. Tried googling Camaro5 topics. Couldn't find anything . So last resort is to ask my c5ers

My windows occasionally won't close. They will go up until about an inch from closing...then go back down. Happens 3-4 times in a row than it will work. Any ideas that can save me a trip to the dealer

I would look at the connection on the switches and the switches themselves... does it only do this from the drivers side or is both?

there is another thread in new topics on this..

first, did you try the window reset, it's in the owners manual..

second, don't key off the car during the auto up cycle.. either key off first or leave it running.

keying off causes a voltage drop, the auto-up feature is designed to reverse in a voltage drop, as having something stuck (kids head or hand for example) in the window during the auto-up function causes a voltage change, and the system reverses..

Had this happen on my 2LT, dealer said it was the window tint... never kept it long enough for a solution, but no way is it the tint.

Tried the indexing, I do NOT think that is what it is, it is NOT indexing when this happens. Probably needs a new motor or some other sort of calibration.

Good luck. Try the dealer.

Jim

window tint...come on.... that dealer was trying anything to get money out of you..window tint does not effect how the windows go up and down

Engine died but still have all power

I have a 2011 lt1 v6. The other day I was driving down the road and had a bit of a vibration. Gave it some gas and the engine died. Coasted to the side of the road and the car wouldn't start again. Went back a couple hours later and jump started it ran until I took the cables off. Got the car towed home. Went to the car today to try starting it just to see. It started right up. Info centre said roll passenger window down and up. Did that twice and the message cleared. Car has a very slight vibration when idling. Reved it up to about 2k rpm and the engine starts to knock. Let the car idle again and the knock goes away.
Any suggestions. I just got the oil changed a couple weeks ago.
