SinisterEcho's LS3 Mongoose Build Journal
First off, I have been meaning to write this for a couple weeks now. So here it goes:
I had just gotten out of the military serving overseas. When I returned I took a break from work for about 2 months trying to figure out what I wanted to do. Once i had that figured out and got a job i was suddenly in the market for a new car, as I didn’t have one at all. I sat there after getting the "Congratulations your hired" call and randomly decided that I wanted a Camaro SS. I told my dad my plans and he made a phone call to one of his friends from work. As it turns out that his friend’s son (and now my Best friend and car buddy) works for one of the big dealership chains in Hampton Roads/VA Beach. He calls us back and says there is a 2010 Camaro 2SS/RS sitting in VA Beach at the Honda dealership with 12k miles on it. The rest is listed out in the thread.... This was taken when we got the car on the ground after the full exhaust install at MIR during the Import v.s Domestic World Championship. And some random pictures I took last weekend after i got her all nice and cleaned up. Performance Mods to date: 1-7/8 Kooks LT headers w/ Hi-flow cats Magnaflow 3" cat back exhaust MGW STS with MGW composite shift knob Pedders XA Extream Coil-overs Pedders EP6579 Bushings Pedders EP1201HD Bushings AEM Boost, Fuel Pressure, AFR gauges Vortech V-3 Supercharger ID 1025cc/96 lb/hr fuel injectors MSD Boost-a-Pump Pedders ZL1 Sway bar upgrade kit Waiting to Install: EMAX V2 Cam specced out by AIR Lingenfelter Twin Fuel Pump Kit Melling Oil Pump Timing Chain and Valve Train Upgrade (will have specifics once install happens) Smaller Pulley For supercharger Performance Wish List: LSX 427 Pedders suspension(what i dont have already) DSS Carbonfiber Driveshaft DSS Axels DSS 12bolt Rear end RPM Xmsn Fast/LSX 102mm intake manifold CNC Ported Throttle body Dress-Up Mods: Heritage Grille w/ custom mounted SS logo (broken off and not replaced) Rear panel Blackout (Plasti dipped) Dress-Up Wish List: HRE P40 Wheels or Weld Racing Wheels Afterburner Tailight Upgrade MPD1 Rear Spoiler Painted Rally Stripes Seeing as how I don’t make loads of money this build is going to take some time to complete. I have some priorities that will be coming first (I.e. House and lift for the garage) that I have to buy. So, I’m getting the little things first. In the meantime thanks for visiting and enjoy.... I love the sound of the exhaust. Magnaflow tips look good also. Nice job..

Pedders installed! Ill post more pictures later this weekend when I can upload them from home. Still need to get an alignment tho... Ill be taking her to IAG Performance for Tint, alignment and corner balance  . They specialize in Subarus but they also come highly reccomended from some friends of mine.

Installed my Pedders XA Coilovers last weekend! Busted a few knuckles... acquired some bruises.... and drank some beer
 The start: Swapping out my front radius arm bushings to the EP6579 Pedders bushings while i have the car apart... Finished.... sorry there are no more pictures from the install... we were jobbing hard to get it done by nightfall... we obviously didnt make that time... but had a cute girl come up and say how nice my CHARGER was  But thats ok... Ill forgive her.... she drives a V6 mustang lol.....Theres a daylight picture 2 posts up.....

Really taking shape. Sounds and runs better after the tune? Headers always sound good both at the engine and at the exhaust tips....I'm liking it, big time!!...

Looking good bro! IBM is my second favorite color. Video of exhaust is really nice. Did the tune take care of the CEL?

Thanks Gunny. The cel is back for the third time now. Bad part is I haven't been in town long enough to have it looked at. It came back the day after I picked it up from the tuner. Now I have to take it back a 3rd time. But I'm going to change the o2 sensors first.

 Cel is cleared for the time being... I still don't have the sub frame bushes in... I'm gonna try and have Tim do them sometime this month... But I did add a little something.... My honor and valor badge!
