Confusion over actual street date of car
Does anyone know if Chevy released an official release date for the production verision of the CAMARO?

You know what...I read the title of this on the home forums page...and it only read something like Official Camaro Productio...I think I pooped a little
 I thought they had released official specs or reviews or even, yeah, a date....stupid me

Confustion over actual street date of car
OK--in everything I've read about when the 09 is supposed to be available, I have read everything from January, 2008 to January 2009.
Isn't the January, 2008 just wishful thinking? What's more realistic? And what have others heard? |

as with most models, they release them in Sept. but i heard they may be out in July 08. with the convert in late 09

SCHEDULED release date is early 2009. VERT 2010
EXPECTED release date is late 2008. VERT 2009 Realistically, they could have the car out of the door in mid 2008, IF everything goes off without a hitch. but there is a thread already, quite recently actually, that deals with this exact issue...I'd check there for a more instantaneous answer

The last 2007 Impala rolls off the Oshawa plant assembly line on November 30th of this year. Once that final production run is complete with the Impala, then they can tear down the line and reconfigure it to run the flex line with both the Camaro and G8. That retrofitting should take a minimum of 6 months if all goes well. That would make a summer '08 release possible if there are no delays in changing the Oshawa plant.

hey I thought when they say first quarter 09, they meant the first quarter of the fiscal year which starts is october first. if sales startes jan 1st 09 they'd lose 3 months of sales.
