Looks good and pretty much how I thought it'd look. I'm not sure what made you guys think the whole panel would light up. You can't put too much light in there or it would be distracting while driving.

What about the whole ignition sequence with various parts lighting up as the car is turned on? I figured it would dim to a small subset as you put the car in gear, you need to be able to see in the dark outside. But to me, ABL was about the ignition sequence like in the old video we saw.

One thing to keep in mind is the OP's camera settings.
It may not be set up to capture night pics.
I better camera and photographer would make it look different and most likely, better.

Not sure where the idea came that the whole panel would light up... There is an easy way to make the ambiant lighting look like it did in the ignition video and the aftermarket probably isnt going to make a whole panel that lights up or do very much with the lighting on the doors. I think the ABL is pretty cool but could be ALOT better. But then again, everything has room for improvment over factory.

Is this even offered on anything other than the 2SS or 2LT?

I have a sense of humor too but who's the douche bag that created that?! "Keep The Faith" is a slogan from Scott that has kept this forum positive for the past 3 years!

My CTS has ambient lighting and you have to see it to appreciate it. Pics will never do justice.

Also, the gauges are back lite, you don't need the head lights on the illuminate them.

That is so incredibly lame, as I knew it would be. I better be able to turn that off.

well -- wait until you see it in person.

One concern: brightness can be extremely distracting at night -- and if the entire panel lit up, you would not be able to see thru the windows due to reflection -- and that's a safety hazzard........

The brightness was one of the major concerns of the I.P. panel lighting up. (there were other issues as welll........)

As to the "Keep the Faith -- and this is what we ended up with" --

........sorry guys and gals, but I'm a bit tired right now and I don't quite get that --but if THAT'S what upsets you about the new Camaro -- Wow!

Now.... how 'bout waiting until you actually drive one? For what it's worth - -I think once again you're going to be very pleasantly surprised.......

Anyone who's ever been bored and messed with aftermarket neon lighting on the inside of their car (hey, I was 16) knows that when they're on, they make it almost impossible to see out the windows. I'd much prefer subtlty to hazzardous.

Really looks unfinished. I hope they offer a retro kit for the I.P when they get it done.
